Biographical Sketch: Sheeri K. Cabral has a master’s degree in computer science specializing in databases from Brandeis University. She has a background as a systems administrator and has worked with Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Solaris, RedHat/Fedora, AIX, and HP-UX. Unstoppable as a volunteer and activist since age fourteen, Sheeri founded and organizes the Boston, Massachusetts, USA, MySQL User group, and wrote the MySQL Administrator’s Bible (www.tinyurl.com/mysqlbible).
 
Title: What Do You Mean, "SQL Syntax Error"?
 
Summary: Every major relational database system implements some, but not all of the SQL standard. And every major relational database system extends the SQL standard to add product specific features. This talk goes through the SQL standard deviations and extensions that MySQL's SQL syntax has. There is an 80-page detailed supplement PDF that will be available for those in attendance for ease of reference.
