Title: Making Sense of Big Data
Summary: Hadoop is an open source framework for distributed data analysis. It is also a major part of Oracle's recently announced Big Data Appliance. This presentation will discuss questions raised by traditional IT organizations as they are trying to move Hadoop from the development lab to the data center: Is Hadoop just another ETL tool? What unique value can Hadoop bring to the business? How does the data in Hadoop fit into data life cycle in the organization? And how can we connect the dots to arrive at a consistent and manageable BI architecture? This presentation is aimed at IT professionals who are interested in moving with their organization toward an era where big data is a strategic advantage.
