Title: Putting 7 Robust Oracle Enterprise Manager Features into Action
Presenter: Zane Warton
Organization: Datavail

Summary: Organizations with complex enterprise infrastructures can struggle with managing, monitoring, and automating their Oracle technologies. Bringing them under a single point of control is an appealing prospect.

Oracle Enterprise Manager, a first-party tool developed by Oracle, brings together Oracle deployments into a single dashboard. It also supports non-Oracle databases, making it a cost-effective and centralized tool to manage IT environments with a mix of database platforms.

Understanding the full capabilities of Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c allows organizations to make the most of this solution. In this presentation, attendees will get a deep dive look at 7 robust features:

Intelligent Incident Compression (Smart Alerting)
Chef Job Support
Always-ON Monitoring
Notification Blackouts
System Broadcast
Export & Import Incident Rule Sets
Metric Enhancements

This session highlights 7 specific Oracle Enterprise Manager features, exploring their use cases and teaching attendees why they’re useful for managing, monitoring, and automating both Oracle deployments and non-Oracle databases.
