Running Oracle Database on Azure cloud is a supported configuration by both Oracle and Microsoft. I'll discuss the best practices to run Oracle databases and application servers on Azure VMs. Migration methods include sizing the VM, finding the disk and IOPS/MBPS requirements, Bastion server, load balancer, data/temp/redo files placement, and high availability configurations. We will also learn about Oracle Database Service on Azure (ODSA) - how and when to use it. |
