Title: | Model and Query Data with Oracle SQL Property Graph in Oracle Database 23ai |
Presenter: | Kai Yu |
Organization: | Independent |
Summary: | In today’s data-driven landscape, understanding relationships between entities is crucial. A property graph data model excels in this regard, representing data as vertices (entities) and edges (relationships), with both vertices and edges capable of holding multiple properties. This structure enables property graph databases to explicitly store and query information about connections, making it easier to perform graph analysis and build machine learning models based on relational data. The Oracle database 23ai introduces robust property graph support in SQL, allowing users to create and query property graph views from relational tables. In this session, attendees will explore practical examples of writing relationship-based queries using Oracle SQL’s new GRAPH_TABLE operator, as well as how to leverage JSON Data Types for enhanced graph queries. We will also examine various use cases that highlight how developers can effectively utilize SQL property graphs for advanced analytics and machine learning. Additionally, we will delve into an advanced topic: the application of graph databases in Generative AI through Graph RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). This innovative approach enhances traditional RAG by incorporating a graph database as a contextual information source for Large Language Models (LLMs). By providing LLMs with contextually rich data, Graph RAG improves the accuracy and understanding of complex information, enabling more coherent and relevant responses. Join us to discover how to harness the power of property graphs for data analysis and machine learning, and explore the exciting potential of Graph RAG in the evolving field of Generative AI. |
