Title: Solving Your Top IT Management Problems

Abstract: Do you have a plethora of systems and platforms to monitor and manage? Do you then have a handful of different tools that help you try to accomplish that? Are you tired of sitting in war rooms playing the finger-pointing game? Are your platforms running at or below ideal capacity? Are your applications showing latency, but it's hard for you to find out why?

But wait! There's Oracle Management Cloud (OMC)! OMC's suite of solutions was designed for heterogeneity across many platforms, versions, vendors, and products that are typically part of most IT real estate to help answer each of these questions!

In this session, I'd like to not only explore the services part of OMC, but more importantly share how I have used the platform to solve IT monitoring and management problems for several customers. Ranging from heterogeneous monitoring platforms, capacity and forecast planning, performance analytics, log mining and analytics, KPIs for application performance and scalability metrics, compliance and security metrics, and so much more, the key takeaways are where and when to use the right tools for the right solution.

For example, one such use case is where a customer had created a homegrown capacity planning reports solution from Oracle Enterprise Manager's collected metrics. However, they quickly found that managing these reports was a nightmare and required a lot of overhead. I leveraged IT analytics to fill in the gaps and quickly overshadowed the homegrown solution.
